We invite you to join us Sunday, October 20th from 1-4pm as we take a deeper look at the Season of Fall through an Ayurvedic lens.

You’ll walk away from this workshop with a fresh and empowered understanding of how to maintain equilibrium throughout the Autumn season. We’ll explore the realms of Ayurvedic philosophy, diet, lifestyle, subtle therapies, yoga and breathwork to create a unique ritucharya (seasonal routine) relevant for you and your life!

This 3 hr workshop will include discussion, gentle movement and pranayama as well as enjoyment of yummy seasonal refreshments!

What to bring: a yoga mat, notebook and a pen, reusable cup or mug, an open heart, an open mind and a curiosity to learn about Ayurveda!

Hosted by Emily Bayus, Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor and The Inner Warrior.

Ayurveda - “The Science of Life” - also commonly referred to as “the sister science of yoga” - is a 5000 year old holistic system of wellness that comes from the philosophical and spiritual traditions of India.

The foundation of Ayurveda is rooted in the understanding that everything in both our external and internal worlds are made up of the five sacred elements; ether, air, fire, water and earth. The elements further condense into what Ayurveda calls the three Doshas; Vata (ether + air), Pitta (fire + water) and Kapha (water + earth). It is the interaction of these three bio-energies that create the functioning of our internal psycho-physiology as well as the movements of our external environment.

Stemming from this elemental and doshic understanding, Ayurveda offers us a comprehensive art of daily living aimed at keeping our unique constitution in harmony with the ever-changing rhythms of Nature - resulting in radiant health!

Some of the most powerful practices from this timeless wisdom are that of daily routine and seasonal routine, which Ayurveda respectively calls Dinacharya and Ritucharya.

Fall is the season of Vata Dosha; a time to stabilize the mind and ground down into the body. As external heat begins to fall away, we respond by gently warming the body from the inside out to support our journey into the seasons of introspection.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns!
We look forward to sharing an afternoon of elemental exploration with you :)

Namaste.
